Hansen River Fly Outfitters Photos From the Missouri River
Getting ready for a fine early season on the Missouri. Get those dries, short leash nymphs, deep nymph rigs, sow bugs, worms, cool little nymphs and everything else tuned up! Time to go!

It’s not always just about catching or pursuing fish. Taking a break for a picnic on the riverside is a great pleasure. Glad I get to be a part of it and to share the river such great people. Cheers everyone!
This fish is a great motivator for getting busy on the vise. Cheers to spring about to come here in Montana!
Nice ride stripe you’ve got there! See you again in the next couple months! Have you made your summer plans yet? The calendar has a few spots left, give a call for more information.
The Yellowstone is going to be really good this summer. Fingers crossed that we keep up with our snow pack through the spring and transition into a cool summer. This was a good one from last season. This fish will be even bigger this year..
Box full of foam. Looks like August on the Yellowstone. I’m happy to get to be there and to search this box. Time to get out the 3X and tie some strong knots, then smack the fly in the run with a bit of a twitch. Hang on!
Wet wading in the summer. Fishing drys to rising fish. Good for the soul, period. Looking forward to getting back to this gem of a spot in 2023.
“There’s a fish behind every rock.” This is a direct quote said to me when I first started guiding on the Madison river in the mid 90’s when I asked a mentor guide (who was quite sunburnt and crusty) where he liked to fish the most. Well, that was wisdom
Hopper time brings happiness to all! Looking forward to another great season on the Boulder in 2023! By the way, the best time to fish this awesome river is July. Good times!
This is definitely one of my happy places. It’s a shot of the put in on the Stillwater river from mid August. The fishing was so good that day, and it will be good again next season. Hope to see you out there!
